Weaponry (beadwork) of the Native American Indian by Native Arts Trading

 

Cases were made of rawhide and were introduced by the Crow and for the most part - exclusive to this tribe. They were also thought to be very sacred and therefore were not adopted by any other tribes. Prior to the introduction of the trade sword, the were used for the lance.

Replica of an old Crow lance case (war sword case) features glass beads, rawhide, deer skins, clay pigment paints, trade cloth, twisted fringe, etc.
